Eternal love (ਪਿਆਰ) and passion(ਜਨੂੰਨ) for water
Acceptance (ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਣਾ / ਸਰਨਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣਾ) that its life is in water only and no complain (ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ) with it

I am wasting the life by not living it as per the guidance of Gurbani. O Nanak, my mind should stay connected to Good Voice just like fish stays connected to water.
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੱਛੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਦੀ (ਉਸਦੀ ਸਰਨਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ) , ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਭ ਗੁਣ (ਸਬਰ, ਸੰਤੋਖ, ਆਦਿਕ )ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ
As fish does not leave the water (lives in it’s sanctuary) , I shouldn't leave my qualities (patience, contentment, etc)
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ, ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣਾ
Mind that is in constant love, passion and acceptance
