Let's explore Gurbani to be a better version of ourselves

Parenting and Gurbani

This chapter goes into details of Divine parenting and how it is teachings me to enable myself and my family to be mentally strong, ethical and mentally peaceful. This chapter takes the support of Sabad - "Har Jee Mata Har Jee Pita". Key takeways from the chapter:

•Parenting is a Mindset, where I need to acknowledge that this is an opportunity for me to nurture, care (not control), develop companionship and authentic relationship with kids.

•Through Gurbani develop culture of patience, develop proactive approach and be involved in their hobbies, interests.

•Respect individuality of the kid and try not to put them under stress due to societal pressures.

•Spend time with kids to understand who they are as opposed to just focusing on physical needs. Kids nowadays go through a lot and unless we spend time in compassionate manner, we will never be able to understand the complexity of challenges they face.

•Family is beautiful gift of Waheguru Jee; respect it’s santity and divine presence of each individual . As a family we complement each other strengths and weaknesses. Instead of focusing on weakness, we should learn from each other's strength.
